C’est la Vie. Such is life, Annie.

Dear Reader,

LEILANEE. My real name is of Hawaiian origin, which loosely translates to “heavenly flower” or “flower from the moon”. Nine out of ten people mispronounce or misread the name I was born with, albeit unintentionally, that’s why I hated it for a while and started introducing myself as Annie. However, what I’ve come to realize is that in the process, it felt like I was feigning my true identity, even forgetting who I really am. Then as I ventured out into the world, I’ve met people who loved not only my name, but the person they’ve come to know throughout the years.

But for practical purposes, I’ll let you call me ‘Annie’.

I grapple with the idea of a life worth living. Come join me as I discover and embrace what life has to offer. When I grow older (and wiser, I hope), this blog would serve as a testament to my efforts of getting a slice of the world, no matter how small it may be. When I look back, I want my future self to say, “Hey, you’ve endured a lot and lived a wonderful life!”

C’est la Vie.

Such is life. It has to be lived in ways more than one.

Annie

*/Little something about me:

I was an Applied Mathematics major while almost everyone took up Nursing. I’ve lived in Manila my whole life and so I craved for an adventure. I woke up one morning, decided to apply for a graduate program abroad. And now I’m here in NY, the place I called home for almost two years now, figuring out what I want to do with my life.
