Textures in Beautiful Buenos Aires

In 2014, I have traveled to South America to see the Iguazu Falls. I also managed to squeeze in Buenos Aires in my packed 14-day itinerary – and it was a great decision. Transportation was very convenient, food was excellent, and the people, friendly. Restaurants serve food until 3AM! They also had a very interesting dollar exchange rate – you get more domestic currency by exchanging at a “blue dollar” rate, which is higher (i.e., more pesos) than rates offered by banks.

I did a free walking tour and captured these photos. Buenos Aires is a very lovely city, and some architecture are reminiscent of European and American landmarks (for instance, Empire State Building in NYC and Casa Batllo in Barcelona).

On the right is La Casa Rosada or “The Pink House”, the palatial residence of the President.

Some designs offer optical illusions too – in the picture below (which is also this post’s featured image), how many real windows are there?
